Somebody did. Took a couple of hours longer than I would have thought.
Looked like very interesting lugs, appears to have a cyclo shifter (or similar) and paint in nice condition. Hopefully somebody here purchased and can post up some detailed photos. If it had been near me, I would have bought it.
Well actually it is back up and with another $70 on the b.i.n. price. Looks like the seller pulled it.
I'm still not allowed.

Maybe a bargain... but for what?

A "Malvern Star", with a photo of a Repco, claiming to be 26"?

I'm nearly as confused as the seller!

^^ Wrong place mate. We're the retro forum, where no one knows what that funky doodad crank is. Think you got mixed up with the Spotted a Special thread.

Anyway, anyone here manage to snag this SoftRide? I was bidding, but lost out.

Thanks, I think this is a fellow WAHCC member, bob. It's been well picked over already but there could well be some good stuff left

+1. I concur.
Nothing that special on it, 'cept someone has spent a bit of time and coin on a pretty garden variety frame. They might be proud of their job, especially if it's a first or early project bike, but no way it's going to fetch that sort of money.

Latest MS frame I've seen with proper brazed stars on the head tube. A latter day addition? Those tin/chrome fork crown caps with star cutouts are only an affectation back to the glory days of MS.
