Lynskey Sportive Disc + fenders + rack

Hi All,

My wife 'should' be picking up her new bike (with SRAM Force 22 Hydro Disc) next weekend....

Just wanting to know what fenders and rack will fit (with hydro discs) ???

i believe someone asked a similar question recently; but because the calipers mount to the chain stay instead of the seat stay just about any rack will fit, disc specific or not.

if you can find the other thread, have a look... there was mention of the racks needing to go directly vertical so to check for clearances up from the mount point, but a quick look says it should be fine.

Regarding the mudguards I would suggest the SKS Longboards (they come in a 35mm width). They are longer than the Chromoplastics and provide better coverage. I have the Chromoplastics on my wet weather bike and the front guard allows water/dirt to strike the bottom third of the downtube.

Looks nice. Is that the Tubus Logo Titanium rack? I have been thinking about that but unsure whether it will cause heel clip if I add the Ortleib BIke Tourer panniers. Did you get the trunk bag and how does it look, I am considering the Ortleib Travel Biker, a little suitcase for the rack top. Of course with all that on there I probably won't make it past the driveway...

Should be no heel clip with the Ti logo rack, it is designed to give more clearance

No problems at all with heel overlap on the panniers.

My wife has reused the panniers from her other bike (hence the yellow ).

She hasn't moved the clips at all (making it easier to switch between the two bikes) and there is still another 3 inches you could move the panniers back.

The top rack bag is pretty sweet. For days you don't need the big side panniers, it's a really good thing!

Which panniers are those? It must be a trick of the angles. In one shot it looks as though they must be covering the joint between the seat and chainstays, and then in the pic with the foot they don't.

Are the panniers set as far back as possible on the rack?

Panniers can be moved back a further 3 inches. My wife doesn't need any more clearance so they will stay where they are for now.

I take it your wife doesn't have size 47 feet

43 feet. I reckon 47 would be ok as it is. If you pushed the panniers back as far as they can go there is no reason 50 wouldn't fit. I'll get her brother to try it with his size 50 shoes

I have a Tubus Airy, which is a bit smaller. I have the bags as far back as they go to get the clearance I need,but officially the rack is not suitable for Back Roller panniers, even though I use them without issue.

I had a bit of a ride of the bike to help bed in the brakes.... very very nice.

Would take me a while to get used to SRAM shifting, its very different.

My rack mounts are further up the rear stays too, which brings the bags closer as well.

Yeh, love the sportive disc still.

The 2015 introduces removable rear derailuer hanger, choice of qr or through axels and tapered head tube.

Was spewing when there released the new model.
