Sorry guys, I know it may not be SAFEer to listen to tunes while riding (I don't ride on roads much) but here is an interesting link I found regarding cadence and training I thought you might enjoy.

Interesting doctor's name :D I wonder how some of these runners would go listening to some heavy metal that's up around 400 BPM?

I've noticed the benefits of music when riding (25kms of clear cycle path), and get the right tempo and away I go.

I've actually programmed the Ipod with playlists specifically for riding this particular path and find it helps.

I only use one ear bud when I ride, and only if there's no significant traffic risk.
Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple :)
