Yep. There's a bit of a lull at the moment, so will wait till it picks up again before I head home. Much more fun.

So is it gonna be raining tomorrow morning, or what? Bit of a lull at the moment.

310mm in 2 days at the family farm, and 315 at my brother's place. He was flooded in this morning, and so was one of my other colleagues, so just me and the idiot new kid to deal with an onslaught of green and brown pools  .

Our plant shut down early because of the rain and I scored an extra day off today. Unfortunately I'm the huckleberry who has to restart in the morning and I can see a few hours of pumping out bunds before we can even kick it in the guts.

This is a good demonstration of why the fire brigade is moving to a new shed soon...

Riverloop seemed rather quiet this morning.
Was quite pleasant and even sunny between 6 to 7am but since then some stifling humidity has set in (again)

No issues with road damage noticed on Riverloop, BUT driving on Kelvin Grove Rd inbound i noticed some MASSIVE bike swallowing craters surrounded by chunks of loose asphalt. :x
Holes of a size that i have only ever seen before on roads far out west used mostly by Roadtrains.

Edit ! Hey I thought I postedthis on another thread
Surprised yesterday when the train went past my back fence. I hadn't checked but was expecting it Sunday. Anyway I had been slack and slept in because it LOOKED like rain! So went for a ride in the arvo and chased the train back up to the summit from Stanthorpe on the return leg. Much fun and huffing and puffing and smoke and smell and that was just me. Its actually easier to chase uphill as it goes pretty slow.

yep, got up there myself. a lot less folk at the Jetty Markets.
I felt like a sack of potatoes after slumbing around most of the week.

roads weren't too dirty. I wasn't too worried about glass punctures. can't imagine any glass didn't get washed off the roads over the last few days. wouldn't it be brill if it stayed that way.

That looks like fun, and no doubt the weather woulda been better up there than it was in Brisbane yesterday arvo -(Lousy).

This one pictured runs between Semaphor and Fort Glanville in South Australia. (ie. a SHORT distance)
It runs on 18 inch gauge rails (NARROW !) and has as a top speed of about 25 km/hr.
The Stanthorpe train is a LOT faster than that.
