Fascinating to watch this live feed of a Dutch roundabout in action, any time of the day or night you choose 8)

It's so... so... orderly.

Why are there motor bikes riding at a pretty fair speed along the bike paths? I would have assumed that full on motor bikes would be restricted to riding on the roadway with other motor vehicles.

Every car i've seen so far has indicated off the roundabout perfectly. I could just about cry.

Dutch rules allow mopeds (?) to be ridden on bike paths. It is the one thing that I have heard friends of mine complain about the Dutch cycling experience - they are often ridden by teens; no requirement for a licence below a certain power level I think.

Excitement at 2:15am... 2 police cars pulled up for a long chat in the middle of the roundabout, and then as they pulled away a fox(?) ran across the road (using the zebra crossing of course! ).
I think I found the roundabout in google maps, or something much like it... its smack in the middle of Purmerend, at the intersection of Gorslaan, Purmerweg and Churchillaan (named after Winston I guess).

Completely mesmerising.

And so humorous watching cars give way to bikes as they exit the roundabout. Humorous in an "I have to laugh or I will cry" kind of way.

I feel like I am watching a group of paid actors who are all taking part in a "how to use a round-about properly" training video.
