Hi all first of all the road racing has been squashed, the reason for this is a bit drawn out but it has everything to do with comfort and nothing to do with me being a BONEHEAD .
I mean what was I thinking sure there are a lot of road racing bikes out there but there is also some sore butts, wrists, necks, numb fingers etc to go with it as I know
I was thinking back to when I rode in the B2GC ride with Steve,Harry & Griffo and thought about how comfortable I was and how we were all just riding along and observing at the end of the ride at how many people were walking around as if they had just climbed off a horse bow legged and all, I think at that moment I could have sold my bent a thousand times over.
Anyway I would like to thank Graeme (Kalgrm) for his help with the posting of the bent for sale in the correct section of the forum.
And Steve (Vonhazza) for his phone call the other night.
So there you have it I'm bent again but I really never left did I??????
Cheers
Steve

More details? Pics?
I regularly ride with other DF's, but not racing, so apart frpm that, what is the issue?
Don't you ride a 'bent because it is better than an upright?
I personally couldn't go back to a DF, I've tried!

Hi Rob thanks for your opinion..
Pics have been posted on another thread under show off your bent here
page 4 click on the link and you will see it.
There's not really an "ISSUE" I just want to see how my race legs go in some of the many races that are held around here.
I can't really roll up on my bent now can I Rob.
Btw have you ever raced Rob????
I did many years ago and loved it.
And yes I did buy the recumbent to try something different but is it better
than an upright???
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear that you are not gonna be riding a bent. Most important thing is enjoy what you are riding. If racing is your thing then go for it. Let us know how you get on.
I haven't owned a bling-bling upright before but I am sure I am much more comfortable on my M5. The speed alone will keep me happy on my bent.
Thanks
Chong

Hmmm racing, well no, never.
And at 50, I'm not about to start!
Do ride long distance, some Audax, etc, though.
All the best with your endeavours! You're obviously a lot younger and fitter than I!

Hiya Steve, well I gotta say this comes as no surprise given the topic/s of conversation we explored whilst on the B2GC a couple of weeks ago. I'll be sorry to you relinquish the 'Bent' in favour of a DF but happy for you that you're rediscovering the love of racing, good on you mate and best of luck.
