According to my training log, I finished March with 601kms / 21.1 hours of riding for the month. I only missed one scheduled ride and even got to do a ride in the rain (it was only my second wet ride ever).
I didn't meet my milestone for the month (1,000 metres of climbing in a single ride), but I did two rides with over 400 metres, as well as one with 500 metres and one with 650 metres of climbing - thankfully, you get to descend just as much!

Well done.
I managed 666km over 22 rides. Biggest amount of climbing in one ride was 332metres, but this was done 4 times in the month. The ride done of 1st April was about 830 metres (hence the sore back).
Total ride time was about 25.3 hours at average of 26.2km/hr.
It will be interesting to see what April's figures end up like !!
Cheers

Slacker!
Seriously, that's a great effort. I don't know how you find the time.
BTW, I used the slanted / vertical leg press tonight at the gym but just using one leg at a time. That's an absolute killer! Using both legs I can normally do between 160kg - 200kg (depending on number of reps) but with a one leg version it was down to 60kg per leg (with 3 x 12 reps per leg).
Cheers,
Gary

Bike commute followed by a session at the gym near work before work, usually weights or pump. Yoga or the like at lunchtime. All about getting up early.gdl_gdl wrote:Days with Activities 30

The two leg vs one leg figures always look out of kilter, because the body weight doesn't half.
I've been going light on squats, trying to improve my technique, like many I was doing that baby ones, now I'm doing proper 90deg ones.

I too get up early to try and get my rides in - typically 4:30 - 5:00am during the week, and only slightly later on saturday. The Sunday group ride (4 of us) starts at 8:30am to get around some other schedule conflicts.
Sometiomes geta ride in after work at about 6:30pm if it was a stressful or crappy day.
Trying to maintain 3 sessions of weights (at home) and 4 - 5 rides per week totalling 150 - 190km.
Weight is down to 96.1kg, froma high of 109kg. The recent surge in cycling has made a difference in the last 6 weeks.
Hope to do some more big rides this weekend - 4 days off work
Cheers

The time is more of a function so I can be finished, showered and ready to get a 4 y.o. oyt of bed and ready for a 7am departure, as well as assist a XX y.o. wife as well
Some mornings, the alarm gets reset.
Even though it's dark, the traffic count is quite low which helps riding significantly - a lot less fumes.
Cheers

I've now had my bike computer for 30 days, from my training log:
distance: 387km
time in saddle: 13hrs 05mins
average speed: 29.8km/hr
I've nothing to compare it with but hopefully I improve moving forward
My ride length has increased from around 22km to 40km and I'm looking for easy/nice paths to increase it further so I'd hope to hit at least 500km over the next 30 days.
