My steel bike is telling me I should join the ride. It's a pity The time is too early for me on Saturday. Do you guys have agreed on ghe route yet?

I've suggested doing this loop on Saturday. The response has been deafening so that's where I'm going anyway.

but I'm still keen to ride, I'm going to start on East Pde at Fairfield around 8.00ish, follow your route to Prestons, M7, then I'll detour onto Cowpasture Rd, to Abbotsbury,

I'll probably do a stop at Maccas .....

You are correct isabella24 , the bollards at the Bella Vista end of the M7 is the meeting point. 8 a.m seems a civilised time.

Most of my kids are old enough that they can find their own way back home if I "accidentally" left them somewhere. I'm deliberately not teaching the youngest to read and we never mention our home address around him in the hopes of one day reducing the herd by one, thus increasing my chances of riding on Saturdays.

Good thinking Claire. The M7/Railtrail loop with pork crackling rolls at Canley Vale has become one of my favourite rides. Just need to find a decent cuppa.

Haven't been on a bike in ages, been mostly in WA doing family things. Can't do a long transport section so as long as I can get the train to the start should be good.

The 27th looks the go. I've got a horrible feeling though that that is the day of Claire's exam. If so I'm happy to ride both days as I will be anyway. I'll find out this weekend.

If we say the 27th how about meeting at the wooden bridge just up from Guildford Station so Zebee can train it in? Also rather than doing the full M7 which isn't really retro casual riding we go along the canal cycleway, through the dam and out to the Horsley Drive and cut down to the M7 that way, then the shortish ride to the end and back up on the railtrail via Leacock's Lane? Rolls at Canley Vale and a handy train station for those wishing to return that way.
