i know that, but i dont want to break it when i go on the rough. thats the dilemma in essence. and i cant go on the road because my mum is against it. like punishable by death against it.

Then buy a cheap mountain bike and save the rest of the $$$ to buy a road bike for when you are allowed to ride on the road :)
