They still go for stupid money - it was initially listed as 3.4K on ebay and FB sales groups. Ended dropping slowly till he finally listed the frameset and seat post for 2K which is what I paid.
Actually still in pristine condition! It was raced a few years by a young guy then he stopped racing; kept it stored under a blanket with the intention of getting back to racing which luckily for me never eventuated.
There are better frames for the money, but I just love the curves of the Stealth.

What I was particularly interested in was the length of the head, which on Strawburgers bike measured 10cm, which turns out to be the same as my TT bike. My current track frame is 16cm and I can't get the clips low enough, end result is that my body acts as a parachute [Yeh I know a more accurate measurement is the height from the bottom bracket]

Hmmm, yes I have everything but a chain for a fixie. I don't need another bike!!!mikesbytes wrote:Now he has to do N+1 by rebuilding the old frame back into a fixie
Really Foo? What do you use, maybe I'm missing something? I went from vittoria corsa evo to veloflex on the road bike and loved the change. The rolling resistance was a huge difference. Maybe my lesser kms on the boards/concrete can't spot the difference!foo on patrol wrote:Cool setup Strawburger.

I'm not familiar with that one, I've been using 22mm Record singles and 19mm Record clinchers, which you can't get anymorefoo on patrol wrote:Roubaix.

I've also searched on the Chinese domestic market and I'm not seeing a lot of savings by using my ability to buy local and have it reposted

Very small head tubes, these are the ones I mentioned when you came over to check out the bike

I have a direct contact with yishun, geo tables and quote for a single purchase if you head down this path.

Wouldn't you be able to get enough drop with a higher -angle stem = -12 or -16 degrees?mikesbytes wrote:This one looks interesting, the 540 size has a 561mm top tube and a 105mm head. So its got the top tube length of a 56 frame without having a head that's too high for me

-16 is barely enough to get the stem horizontal.foo on patrol wrote:Wouldn't you be able to get enough drop with a higher -angle stem = -12 or -16 degrees?mikesbytes wrote:This one looks interesting, the 540 size has a 561mm top tube and a 105mm head. Something like this inverted would be more like an old-school track stem.
Cheers,

Strawburger, I can't see any measurements, can you see them? Is this the same place you brought your TT frame?Strawburger wrote:Mike, have a look at this one:

Foo & Iornhanglider, I've been down the path of using pista style stems and then a hinged stem, also played with the position of the pads. The problem is that if I was to get any lower then the backs of clips will hit the top tube. Unfortunately its a really tall frame I've got

56cm Raceline Record, which was later badged Apollo. I measured the head tube at 160mm.foo on patrol wrote:What frame do you have, Mike? My Azzurri is a 57.5cm and head tube is 118mm and from the top of head tube to centre of lug on the front fork, is 480mm. I'd post a pic but since Tapatalk no longer works here, I can't.
Foo
I also have a rather longer humerus that others compared to my leg length, so I need to more picky with head tube height.
The bike is fine except for pursuits....
Put it another way, assuming your 57.5 fits you like my 56 fits me, then your head is 40mm lower + your legs are 15mm longer, so your potential drop is 55mm less than me. And that drop is similar to my road TT bike, which has a 100mm head.
Use a simple figure, say 50mm between my track bike and my TT bike. How many watts do I save by my torso 50mm lower?

Thanks mate, short of getting one custom made I'm unlikely to find a better fit. Their FM078 model in size 54 has a 557 top tube so is virtually a 56 in top tube length while the seat tube is a measly 520 high, which will mean that I'll have a longer seat post but its not an issue. The head tube is 105 which is close enough to my target 100.Strawburger wrote:Yes same place as the TT frame. Geo tables not available online, I'll send you an email.
The specs also has stack height and its showing 491. I measured the stack height on my current frame and its 560. Even allowing for some error in measuring, that's a huge difference
So unless someone knows something I should know or another frame to look at, its looking like this one is the one

175s for pursuits if you can find a pair. Unfortunately I lost mine in a divorce settlement.usernameforme wrote:Don't mean to threadjack this thread, but what sort of crank lengths are people riding for a pursuit? I rode 165, I reckon I was underdone. May need longer cranks.
