Unsafe bike paths..The designated bike path near the Hallam pub on Hallam Belgrave rd Hallam.
A road works site lets its vehicles park where they like on the reserve, the drive off directly across the bike lane onto Hallam rd.
I have reported it both to Vic roads and the Berwick council.
I did get a call from the road company who says they will work on getting their subbies not to park there. Basically we will fix it when we can.
I sad "That's ok ,as long as you know that it has been noted and if anything happens to a cyclist the company has now been told."
Looks like I haven;t done well trialing flickr.
I thought the pics would come out in the post. Still it's a start.

I have asked contractors working on Speers Point park twice to remove/move two panels of bunting on their temporary fence. It is on a corner where it creates a significant blind spot and the path enters a road. Still there a few weeks later. Think I need to send it in writing to the council.

Yes, I got a bit of mumbo jumbo about "we have to consider the danger to the drivers as they have no where else to park"...Poor things.
I pointed out that our thin tyres hold a 100psi and the road is sloping into the gutter left side. The cyclist can easily fall to the right into traffic. The man rang me to make excuses and had nor viewed the dvd I sent.
