Ironically if I hadn't of taken a camera to the race, I would of had a DNF. I convinced a fellow club member who had just raced in D grade to stay and take photos and if he hadn't I wouldn't of been able to borrow his wheel when I got the flat, because he wouldn't of been there.

Ha Ha, perhaps its the picture, I'm proabably 10kg heavier than the guy who came 3rd in the blue and black.

Don't worry tuco, Judge Dredd, thats, Judge Jury and Executioner Dredd has been assigned to the case
Sabotaging a bicycle race is a serious offence, thats why we introduced the death penality, to make sure you can't be hurt by a bike crashing into you.

Interesting comment on the GP4000 tyre - In a previous discussion with the Utra Gatorskin tyres, the GP4000 rated the same puncture resistence but much better rolling resistance (5 stars vs 2 stars) - what brand is the Ultra Sport ?

The Ultra Sport is a budget Contential tyre that I swaped a book for with Sogood. No tyre is puncture resistant to a tack.

Never expected you to race on them... The earlier you wear them out the earlier you can get onto your new tyres.

Yeh, they were suppose to go on the beast, wern't they. I just stuck it on the OCR to try out 25mm.

Conti Ultrasport's are not bad tyres, there are asian made rather than German made as the higher spec Conti's (GP's etc) are, but I've had good results with a 23C on the rear wheel of the Falcon fixie.

Gee, the Heffron Park circut looks a bit on the rough side, I think racers are a bit luckier out in the wild west with the repaving of Lansdowne Park to a wider, smooth surface and then there is Eastern Creek Raceway which is pretty good as well.

Why does Warath Vets B Olympic Park at an average of 37.x kph feel easier than RBCC Heffron Park Club C average 35.x kph ?

More consistant speed? Smoother surface ?

Both, would be my answer - as well as wind / temperature conditions if they are different at the two venues.
The Heffron Park surface looks like it would take a bit out of you with the cracks. When I saw Tuco's little map of the circuit he did his crit on, I thought it would be slowed a bit by its corners - so track layout could be a factor too.
