I checked. It's actually 181k. We've had a wet month so that means less climbing. I'm just holding onto 1.5%jules21 wrote:nice vert!jasonc wrote:12k with 180k of up

Just passed 10k with a solo Sunny Coast to Brisvegas Imperial on Sat morn. 87k up so slowly winding in the elevation gap with training for Le Tap and Buderim9 taking focus.
108klm behind the 12kytd target but that is much better than the 480klm behind it was a month ago!

I signed up for the Buderim 9 the other day... I am currently on 215,000 elevation for the year although a lot of that is just plodding so will have to start pushing it up the hills... well once I recover from this weekends 11,000mtr bikepacking gravel grindTheWall wrote: Buderim9

Nice elevation.jasonc wrote:12k with 180k of up
I'm almost at 12.7k. Elevation isn't that much, about 93,500m. It did go up massively a few months back, but since that I've not been doing any big rides, just shorter fast rides.

Aiming for a 12,000 year, same as last.
I haven't included trainer mileage which started a couple of weeks ago.
What's the consensus on indoor distance? An hour or two on the trainer seems harder than equivalent outdoor time.
Should I add it to the total?

My 1000 is significantly lower than the old 800 which is lower than all the 510s I’ve seen. It’s a pretty ill-defined metric in any case...jasonc wrote:Ok isn't what i was aiming forkb wrote:Still doing ok though.jasonc wrote:I've dropped below 1.5% elevation. This new bike computer isn't nice

Strava isn't updating for me at the moment, got a few issues with the site since they did a big update a short while ago so my progress bar is lagging a few weeks behind.

Pretty hot this morning too. Later on it was like riding with a hair dryer going flat out! Pretty tough headwinds too. Where is that melting emoticon when you need it...

Òn your current daily run (that should be cycle) rate you are on track for about 20200. Christmas or holds can be a bugger.fingy wrote:20k looks out of reach for me this year,

Passed 11k on Sunday with 98k vert.
I have found myself in two fun but competing end of year Strava Wars with some cycling buddies. The first is a winner takes all max end of year distance (I am currently 35klm behind) and the 2nd is an elevation challenge which I need to make up 3-4K on another rider. This is proving to be difficult to juggle. L'Etap helped both .
