I would probably go snow showing more if I had mountains closer....they are 30k awat which is fine on a bike but can't be bothered driving...walking on the flat is just to easy...sure I could do a 6 hour walk but I would probably injure myself...next year I will take up cross country sking...good work out me thinks.
No didn't see any other cyclists

It was apparently about -9 by the time I got home!...yes I was feeling the cold the last hour, but nothing too painful...just the sweat on my chest getting cold.Next year I will have even better gear.It is really only the toes and fingers that get cold...but 3 hours is a good work out in this weather...much more might be a struggle.
Wish I did have a balaclava...I was wearing a hat and neck warmer up very high but stil got a bit of iceburn on my checkbones.
Yes it looks like a skirt in the pic...but no...it is a very good pair of Fairydown water proof pants that where wrecked many years when a dog bit me on a walk in the back country of Queenstown...so I cut the legs off and they are great for riding in the rain...no wet bum!...and keep my nuts form freezing!!!.
Today is totally white, not from snow but from the fog freezing on everything...nice day for a ride as I think the sun may come out once the fog lifts

That's assuming they don't correctly detect the Aussie/Kiwi accent.

Extra padding? I wear warmers when it's below 20. -7 would be suicidal

I guess with all the extra padding I would need, I'd get above 80kg

Turned up for for my first race, signed on no trouble, rolled out in a lovely sunny day...cold but bearable....rolled the course 17km loop...sweet,windy but not as hilly as I thought...rolled up to the start line...80 in the bunch!!!!,I have to start in division 3 been a first timer, little country roads, this will be fun.Well off we go,we have a lead car and we take up; the whole road...but it is France so cyclists are aloud to force all the cars to stop in the gutter
