Depends where you are coming from and obviously going to. I live in Lesmurdie which is a hill surrounded entirely by flat land. No matter which way you go, it's always up.
Anyway, it's a very nice ride, particularly as it turns towards autumn.
Good luck and keep in contact.

I was down there this afternoon, the Subiaco Museum.
If you look to the East you'll see the TV towers on the hills - I live not far from them.

Nah, there are no punishing hills in the Darling Range I know of. They roll up and down, no mountains. A ride to Toodyay along Toodyay rd. is full of rolling hills for 80km. I've seen a few eager roadies going solo there and back.scottaddict wrote:ahhh ok...is it that punishing??
ive never been up there...im keen to start some hill training so if anyone knows of any rides or is keen to organize a ride let me know :)

South Perth Roulers do a regular 100 odd km ride on a Sunday that takes a variety of routes through the Hills. Either up through Swan Hill, Rolystone, Kalamunda etc and then back another way. It appears to be a bit of a hammerfest so hang on and remember "Hills don't get any easier, you just go uup them faster"
