I went for stupid. I do ride is Brisbane's cbd and my other half says i'm mad but for some reason I am more comfortable then being on Brunswick street in New Farm or Macquire St in Teneriffe with all the parked car and rich dad's boys and girls in there over powered convertables.
However I have since I have learnt it is quicker for me in most cases to skirt the CBD and hope of the bikeway at the closes bikepark then lock up in the CBD itself. If that makes sense

Thanks for the alternative route tip sbra and mikesbyes, I tried it out on the way into work this morning. It is a bit further, but not appreciably slower and a much more pleasant ride for the most part. Would've been even nicer had it not been drizzling on me the whole way.

Wasn't designed for bikes. I use it daily so I'm use to it.sogood wrote:That's a pleasant route in comparison. But I hate that narrow bridge going over Victoria Rd.mikesbytes wrote:Down the stairs, along the path to the skinny road. Up the road to the top. Accross the traffic lights into Cecily st. left into a kind of laneway at the bottom of the hill. A little bit of wiggling and past Eastern? Park onto Lillyfield Rd and up to the Whitebay overpass.
