I had a friend come over today and we had a ball making a bike workstand and bike chair out of old scrap parts I had here. Every piece is recycled from old bikes. We even managed a spot for a drink holder. These are the only the first ones we made, the next bike stand will be adjustable in height and no doubt will improve with some fine tuning. The chair, is actually comfy, despite looking otherwise and keeps your back straight so you dont strain it. And the stand, doesn't fall over with the weight.

I love it. It's recycling at it's best.
Did you make them from plans or just improvised as you put it all together?
I'd order some bicycle furniture, but the minister for household engineering says that there are too many bike parts in the house already.
Kev.

Yes the seat is great, I didnt think it would be comfortable but it is. My friend did the hard work so I cant take credit there. I showed him a picture that wasnt very clear and he worked it out from there.
MichaelB, I am sure I could make one in the correct colour for you, perhaps a nice bright Hot pink Huffy frame?
Karen.
