Cycling and Sports Clothing Outlet
despite their website looking a bit sketchy, their communication
and turnaround was outstanding!!!
No this is not advertising I am just happy to not have to wait three weeks or the things I spent hours evaluating and requested are not available.
I would recommend these guys. Faster than t7 and maybe even your LBS.

Used them too. Very good to deal with and fast delivery.mikesbytes wrote:I've used then and had no problems
I'm going through a few tubes at the moment on both bikes.
I took spares to the north Queensland titles and we needed one for a puncture and the one I replaced it with developed a hole near the valve leaving us with no spares for the second day. Half the tubes on our bikes now have one or more patches.
I'm looking to buy some 700 x 23C tubes in bulk but I can't find any on line stores which sell them.
Am I just looking in the wrong place?
Has anyone else bought some in bulk on line and if so from who? (or whom)

Sometimes at a ridiculous special so keep a watch out for that.MichaelB wrote:Torpedo 7 - 10 tubes for $30 + $9 delivery I believe
Just received a package from Rivendell that arrived promptly and in good condition ... and postage cost more than the item dammit - that'll teach me to check things a bit more closely (they added UPS tracking and some insurance that I hadn't expected, but yeah, should have asked first).

Put an order in to VeloGear last Wednesday and have just received my package - not bad from the US. Must admit, postage was a bit steep, but when you gotta have something, you gotta have it. FedEx are quick though.
What did I get?
the Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon jerseys discussed earlier
and...
FruitLoops
They fit well, but a bit loose around the arms. I can live with that though.

First lot of stuff I've ordered from the net for awhile and....
I just ordered a ton of stuff from the net, and bloody Shimano is shut for stock taking. I don't believe it. I will have to wait another 2 weeks for my stuff.
At least my vintage new R600 brake levers are in stock from elsewhere and should be here next week to replace those stupid brifters, where the brake levers move sideways. That is really unnerving.
Kev.

here
Fruit loops was USD$44.95
DSOTM USD$79.95
Postage USD$25.00
I did make a boo though...ordered them last Friday. They sent me an email to confirm I was happy to pay the cost of shipping (was extra than that specified on the site as OS), then processed my reply on the 25th. Not bad at all.
Did a runner from work early as I wanted to give these a go...DSOTM fits well - bit loose in the sleeves. Loopy is also a bit loose in the sleeves, and a bit tight on the hips (damn bloke fit!!), but should be fine. The DSOTM one also has writing inside the pockets at the back - "The lunatic is in my head...on the grass etc". Cute.
The other site someone recommended to me is pbk
You can change their pricing to AUD and it is a flat postage rate for most items (not wheels).
Now I just have to break the news to the hubby

To date I have purchased from Dean Woods, Torpedo 7, eBay and today I placed an order on Phantom Cycles.heavymetal wrote:Dean Woods
The delivery time from Dean Woods to WA was something like two days. Excellent. Torpedo 7 took a bit longer but that is coming out of NZ. Again no issues.
Interaction with Phantom Cycles so far so good. Also like that they are on Skype and MSN and they are available during business hours via same.
I contacted two outfits in the US and Ivanhoe Cycles in Melbourne re the Sigma lights I purchased on eBay. Both US bike shops got back to me. One didn't want to do business but at least replied. Ivanhoe Cycles who advertise in Bicycling Australia and include their email address didn't bother to reply so I didn't bother to shop with them. Makes me wonder why bother advertising in a national magazine? No business sense IMO.
I ended up getting the lights on eBay for about $70 less than Ivanhoe anyway.
Oh also tried Amazon for something ... they came back couldn't ship the item to Australia. Again at least got communication. That said I do find shipping from Amazon tends to be slow.
PBK shipping costs puts me off buying from them.
Regards
Andrew

I like how they have comprehensive sizing information. Americans are so much better at "mail order." Comes from all those years of catalogue sales I guess.

It sure makes a change from the 'Oh yeah, I ride with Cofidis' jersies that people ride around in.
