Thanks to those who came to my rescue.....

Sunday morning enjoying a ride up towards Kalamunda, taking a well-earned drink after Welshpool Rd East. Lost concentration or something, hit the kerb. Next thing I knew I was on the ground rather sore with lots of very helpful people helping me out, a couple of cyclists, three or four locals and a couple of passing drivers, re-affirming my faith in human nature. If the cyclists (or any other helpers) are reading this, I'd like to say a big thank you for your help, care and support. Just got out of hospital with a fractured shoulder and rib and a couple of burgers on head and shoulder. Thankfully I was wearing a helmet (now badly cracked and lacerated).
Wherever you're cycling, take care.

Those kerbs are like magnets... I've been sucked towards them many a times.

Hmmm...must have hit my head harder than I thought - it was Orstraya Day. I did think while grinding up Welshpool Rd (plenty of time for thinking up the hill) that it would be a real dumb thing to do to crash because I'd booked a very active holiday in February - doh!
Must get some more painkillers and sit in front of the fan....
