Cell RX 400, any good?

hi there
Ive got what seems to be a pretty good offer to buy a CELL RX 400 road bike.
Im a big guy at 6'5ft, 75kg so picking the 62cm frame which Ive been told is the one.

The price is $699.
Anyone out there got one or knows if its a worth while bike?

I live/work in the city of Melbourne and I ride everyday at least 20km.

Weekends will be used doing the odd 80km ride out of town and general fast road riding inner city. But i do use it every day.

If anyone has some comments about a newbie crossing over into the world of road bikes without a massive budget, I would love to hear from you, cheers everyone!

Consider that the $300 difference will get you probably better hubs, maybe better brakes (Cell doesn't list what the brakes are for the RX 400), better tyres, and better looking welds, and a lifetime warranty on the frame - this is compared to the OCR 3 or Trek 1000.

But the more important one, is if you plan to buy via mail order, you will have to set up the bike yourself, whereas if you buy from a shop, they will (hopefully) assist you in getting the fit and set up right, so you buy it all ready to go - usually with a free service to fix niggles that arrive in the first month or two.

On the other hand, $300 is $300, and in terms of running gear you still get a Sora group set, STI shifters/levers, and a carbon fork.

Ive checked out the OCR 3 and it seems good, especially for the price and Im still keeping it in mind, as well as the trek 1000 which is due in my local shop on moday arvo.

Im going to go test ride it now, at least see what its like in reality as opposed to a picture on a computer screen.
The Cell 400 seems like a decent bike, lots of good parts.
They will set it up for me.
Can only check it out, if its not right, I dont mind spending a bit more.
