i was invited to a different sat am ride this weekend, rode the grp most suited to me apparently, i worked on the hills, the rest of the ride was rather sedate, i wanted to sprint off the front and leave them, no rolling over, people just pushed their way to the front at lights or a sprint. in frustration i rode 30klms extra on the way home and increased the avg speed i did in the group! oh well never again, i like my usual ride.

Strong Easterly this morning as I rode in from the North.

Especially painful going past Leederville when all you can smell is the bakery as you are nearing the CBD. Torture at it's best!

Cheers,

Gary

Rode home last night into a strong very hot easterly - not fun.

More of the same this afternoon I am guessing!

Yeah bloody hot last night, I was onto my 2nd water bottle, Applecross -> Joondalup. The river felt very blowy, like it did in the morning too. Didn't get much tailwind at all.

Picked today to start my new regime of cycling into work one day a week.

I'm thinking now that it was a bad decision temperature wise

Still, it's only Osborne Park to Kingsley!

If you enjoy it you'll be wishing it was longer soon!

Just about to head off tonight and on checking the BOM site I see that it is another hot Easterly I will be facing!

Ohh well, what doesn't kill you and all that....

Definately not riding tomorrow or Thursday, however :(

Not sure "enjoy" is the word that I'd use at the moment, but there was a definite sense of achievment (however small) and I shall persevere!

Twas quite balmy this morning (6AM), leederville - freo loop clockwise to canning bridge and freo then back up railway line from leighton/cott. Lotsa bikes coming the other way up the freeway would be good if they all got some lights!

You might want to stop reading here if you are from the Southern suburbs!

Rode 40km from the North today with a fairly strong NE, the wind is due to switch to SW at lunchtime in time for my ride back to the North in the evening! (Whilst keeping one eye on the possible rain that is due!)

Cheers,

Gary
