A metal plate with a number of holes for your pedals, a bolt to go into your existing crank, and a couple of cams that go either side of the pedal to stop it from moving around. Often found on tandems when a young kid is the stoker

Should have mentioned I'm looking for a second hand pair, new they are ridiculously overpriced, wanted for tandem stoker.

Reminds me of a request many years ago when I was in a motorbike shop.

Big burly Bike dude rocks in and asks the salesman if he had any fingerless gloves.
Cheeky salesman replies "Nope, but I got a pair of scissors I can sell you".
Big burly biker grunts in major disaopproval and storms out
