Tour de Perth

Postby moosterbounce » Thu May 31, 2007 2:56 pm

"Stuart Shaw (Drapac Porche) and Kathy Watt (Kathy Watt Racing Team) have taken out the Open Men's and Women's overall titles at the 2007 Tour de Perth. "

Oh why did I have to be busy that weekend?! Bet you guys over east didn't know we had our own Tour?!

Hopefully Gary will be able to give us an overview of the participation ride real soon :)

I didn't realise Kathy was still racing.

How many days for the tour? Your comments make it sound like a weekend job.

OK...not the longest of Tours - 2 days last weekend. And the weather was dreadful (for Perth!!). I rode Sunday arvo into nasty winds and I don't think it was above 15 degrees. The wind was 20 knots at the airport and I live on the beach so maybe 30 knots. Not usually as windy in the hills though.

I'm surprised I found anything on Cycling News - there are pics too and I noticed it on the right hand banner...just under the Giro photos...I had to chuckle at the company Perth was keeping :o

I too was surprised to see Kathy's name on there but there wasn't too many girl riders (perhaps I would have had a chance  ).

There was a participation ride as part of this too that Gary signed up for...I wonder if he has recovered, or is still out there
