I was unhappy with the "numb bum" from my Fizik Pave saddle that came standard on my Bianchi so I purchased a Selle San Marco Era K on Thursday. I felt all my weight was on the perinium (I think that's the correct spelling
When I got home I had a look on the website [http://www.sellesanmarco.com/features/size.asp]
and according to the manufacturer this seat is wrong for me (it's a "225"). The Era K suits someone around 50-60kg. At 85kg, 5' 10" and an XL size I need a "255". Sorry about all the background B.S., but at around $200 for a saddle, you need to get it right.
Anyone had experience with the S.I.Z.E. system on the above website? Is this a better way to buy a saddle other than by feel or guesswork?
How have you guys selected a new saddle other than just hoping it was ok? I couldn't tell if one seat was better than the others I tried purely by sitting on them for a couple of minutes on the windtrainer.
I can return the saddle and they will swap it over so Im not out of pocket. Any advice welcome.
Regards,
Wayne
