training on m7 cycleway or parramatta park

Postby pault » Sun Apr 05, 2009 7:25 pm

Anyone keen for a training ride along the m7 cycleway saturday mornings at about 930 to 1000 from the start at seven hills to preston and back. Not super sure but i think 1hr and 1/4 each way is ok speed but maybe faster with more people. hope someones up for it.

I think your suggested start time of 9.30/10.00 might be considered a bit late for a lot of the regular M7 set hence the lack of response. Nothing personal!! Probably get more takers for an earlier start.
There are always plenty out there from first thing on the weekend mornings. 1.25 hrs Seven Hill Rd to Prestons would bw a pretty good time!

6.30am - 9.30am is when you should be out, usually faster riders at this time, after 9 is when the slowies come out and get in the way :D
Eddie Salas Cycles does a group ride leaving his shop in Rooty Hill at 7am and go to Prestons and back.
Not sure on Parramatta park, i only ride there during the week, there has been groups on the mornings i have been there but usually ride solo for a better training effort.
Always a good "view" in parra park too with all the feminine walkers :D , good way to start a morning IMO

Good luck

Some of the Parra Park wildlife is easy on the eye.
