Bicycle Express sale.
Postby Verbs & Nouns » Fri Apr 24, 2009 11:20 am
Bicycle Express have got 20% storewide (excluding some items and frames). Finishes today though, so get in quick. I got some SKS race blades for $25 cheaper.

Hi Guys,
On the subject of online purchases (wiggle seem fantastic value) have you had any experience with buying parts online but then having your LBS fit the parts?
I know your conscience comes in to play a bit here and I would tend to feel a bit awkward doing so but on the other hand I support my LBS very well with clothing, services, tyres, tubes etc. on top of the initial bike purchase.
When you compare a RRP of $2300-$2500 versus $1500-$1600 for a set of Campag Shamal Ultra Wheels the savings are quite significant (would be willing to buy the cassette from the LBS to soften the blow but that's a heap cheaper on wiggle as well!)
Any thoughts on this moral dilemma would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I'm all for saving money. Pretty sure most people would be the same.
So I take it wiggle is a reliable source and delivery site then ?

If the total is under $1000 you will avoid any customs charges or GST. And of course we dont have to pay the VAT if ordering from outside the UK.when buying from Wiggle or any overseas outlet, do you have to pay an import fee or any tax costs?
