Just wondering if anybody has done this in the ACT and has any recommendations of places to go or not to go.
Thanks all.

CycleCity just had two frames done. I will ask. They told me, but since I am about 2 years away from doing mine, I didnt pay attention, even though I asked the question...

A A sandblasting used to be in Fyshwick not sure if there still there. Appart from that goto CanFab fabricators in 90 Gladstone st in fyshwick as they do heaps of powder coating so they will be able to organise the whole lot for you.

Haha! Thats hilarious. I got some car parts blasted and coated at those same places. Wish I had thought of that earlier. Cheers

I can tell you that from Cycle City's experience. <$100 (80, I think) for blast, $250 for coat. I want to do the singrel in matt black, but I will wait til I wear it out and spec it with 700C's.

I must say that in my opinion, a spraypainted frame looks better. It just costs a hell of a lot more, even with rattle cans. And it is nowhere near as durable as powdercoating.

wow, thats cheap, Ciaran. Betcha they wish they had spent that little. I think the place they used is a bit more exy. My experience from car parts was that $250 wasnt outrageous.
