Oh yes.
I was preparing myself this morning for some abuse from a guy at work over the fact that I was 1hr behind target. Only to find him impressed that I had finished.
After doing the mountains he didn't think I would.

On Saturday when I was picking up my riders kit, a lady in an orange vest noted:
- I couldn't imagine there are so many crazy people
- What crazy people? - asked I
- YOU ARE ONE OF THEM!

Did you go past the Caboolture flea markets at about 8am-ish. There was a big group of cyclists who went through there at about that time. Must have been close to 100 cyclists.ClownBoy wrote:Rode 187km today. 25km from home to the race and 162km race. Through the fricken Glass House Mountains mind you. Glad you finished. Well done. I would have dropped dead half-way

Quite possibly.
I cannot remember the times but we did go past the flea market.
I was hitting 29km/hr avg at the hydration point (55km mark) so would have hit there at about 8:20 or something. Flea market would have been around that time but cannot remember if it was before or after the hydration point.
