How it is used
I shall use the bike as an alternative to using the car for many things such as grocery shopping and carrying bigger loads than I am capable of carrying on my roadbike. I also plan on doing lots of weekend tours during the months that we have better weather. It will also come in handy for commuting when I need to carry lots of extra things
Description
From the Surly website
If you want to carry a lot of stuff while riding your bike long distances, you’d be hard pressed to find a better bike than the Long Haul Trucker. It starts with the frame, whose tubing and geometry were specifically designed for loaded travel. We added braze-ons for everything you’re likely to need. We gave it parts that are durable and long lasting. This bike has been among our most popular models because it’s a good value and a great riding bike. Oh, and it handles short distances too. Read more about it on the Long Haul Trucker Frame page.
Positives

Awesome quality of build
Total Comfort for a bike
So many extra braze-ons for bottles, spokes etc
Huge Carrying capacity
Negatives
- bad things about the product
Price, mainly due to the poor US exchange rate
Heavy
Additional notes
Having only ridden a few K's on the bike I look forward to adding more to the review as I ride more distance
Reccomendation
The saddle really requires changing as its such a poor saddle
I always think that mudguards on a bike such as this is important
