wearing 2 pairs of knicks or a pair of knicks over tights. You come off on the track and you'll be glad you have 2 layers, hopefully only the outer one will burnMichaelB wrote:Keh ?tallywhacker wrote: Double bagging helps cut down on splinters and burns

Actually I came third, the other Dulwich Hill rider (Huw) won, hench the confusion.alchemist wrote:Mike stayed upright and even managed to win the Div 4/5 combine,
I thought I'd come second, but the awarded second to Emmerly, who trains at Canterbury (Tempe) Velodrome where Huw and I train.
I started on the back with Tim and then moved a little forward but higher up, taking the third line of riders, then I ended up on Huw's wheel and we slowly worked our way thru the pack until Huw was on the front on the second row with me behind. Huw moved forward and took the inside line with me behind and then with 100 metres to go Emmerly came screaming past and Huw and I reacted. Huw pulled her in and I went to the outside of Huw and I thought I had Emmerly but not the case.
Anyway it was an honor to ride the velodrome that was used for the 2000 Olympic games. I had heard about the surface being slippery, but apparently its only an issue with new tyres and I had well worn tyres Kenyda's ha ha.
Photo to follow.
