2 mountain top finishes...hard not to be,especially after the showing yesterday.Rasmussen look smashed at the yellow jersey presentation, hopefully the chicken will lose his legs today.A bit worrying the amount Cadel was coughing thou
Cadell isn't an asthmatic is he? It would explain the coughing, that and the fact that they drag the boys off their bikes to do the interviews.

all cyclists are asthmatic aren't they....?.I must admit that I was diagnosed asthmatic 4 months ago....and those inhalers really do improve my lungs!.
So anyway...back to last night's racing.
It was a real show of strength over those mountains. With the continual breakaways it doesn't surprise me that many of the big names cracked. Vinno is down quite a bit which is sad, but good for Aussie hopes. It was unfortunate that Cadel lost quite a bit of time and dropped to 3rd, but he's still doing very well and still in with a chance. Contador is certainly impressive. For Cadel to try to keep up with 2 pure climbers really showed his form - he only had, what, 5 kms to go or was it less? 120% effort. Hopefully tonight he doesn't show the strains of yesterday and can keep with the front runners to the descent.
Cadel expected to struggle yesterday, it being the day after the TT, so he performed very well indeed. Pity he cracked but he'll bounce back ... he has to, I'm barracking for him (oh gawd, I just killed his chances didn't I

That's what I was thinking, those blokes looked lighter than their bikes.
Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Was it 56kg they were saying Txurruka from Euskatel-Euskadi weighed at the start of the Tour? Incredibly light for an adult male athlete, must really help on the climbs. Would have to watch out for strong winds though, otherwise he'd be in danger of being blown away
Was that wearing a wet jumper and jeans? Richard gawd, I'm nearly twice that, and only on days when I'm careful about using the scales I had a good bike ... so I fixed it
