PAU, Jul 24 (CP) - Tour de France leader Michael Rasmussen and second-placed Alberto Contador Velasco have both been tested on the rest day, and both were declared negative.

The two formed part of a large group of riders that underwent unexpected doping tests on Tuesday.

Particularly Rasmussen has been at the receiving end of criticism. Last week, the Danish union announced to ban the rider from the national team after failing to inform them about his whereabouts.
