Remember - General Audience Forum (language)

Postby AUbicycles » Mon Jul 20, 2009 7:28 am

Just a reminder - as a General Audience forum lets remember the language as it is becoming a bit too relaxed recently.
Rather than choosing a funky work-around to display naughty words - you can use a bunch of *******'s to express your anger or even avoid these words altogether.

Background is that communication is possible without swearing, we welcome children and this site is recommended as an educational resource in schools.

For new members - yes, internet freedom is pretty good though for this site/forum we give up this a little for a better and more progressive forum - and so far it has been working very well.

Cheers
Christopher

Members may also enable word censoring in their personal profiles...

User Control Panel --> Board Preferences --> Edit Display Options --> [Enable word censoring] = YES

Well it's supposed to be enabled by default...

lets test... !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !!

EDIT: Well it works, but switching it to No/Off has no effect, so it seems it is always censoring...
