New Ay-ups

Postby Bnej » Fri Jul 27, 2007 7:44 pm

Just got an email from Ay-up

They're offering a new light with Cree XR-E P4 LEDs, $60 for existing customers. Same burn time same batteries, twice the brightness.

They are also offering both narrow and medium beam optics.

Think I might get some? ;)

These are launching 20th August.

Interesting. I'm still to take the plunge and fork out for a better lighting system to aid in my night time rock avoidance efforts. On the other hand, the days are already getting longer...

... and the wheels are getting wonkier

The trouble with riding at night, regardless of your lights, is that it's cold and my body is tuned to relaxing and expanding

The current issue [Aug-Sept-Oct) of Mountain Biking Australia has a good article (test) of high-end LED which might be worth checking out.
