No, but I did see some people climbing back over guard rails in the TdF!
From the article liked above, it seems just getting off the starting line can lead to falls. Cross winds would be a pain at those speeds on 1" tyres, that's for sure, but the English guy still managed to finish an hour run with 25mph cross winds, so it can be done.

No way I'd take that out in traffic, not even painted flouro red and yellow with an aviation strobe on top. Damn quick tho'.
