Sorry mobile phone pics.....no rain so no melt !
This will make a few happy for the Steel brigade !
Now the above was my Uncles given to me earlier this year, all original and ridden about 5times !
I thought what the heck when he called but once I saw it I already knew I had a classic imo.....
My plan is to detail her back to shiney new look and offer my LBS to display it.
My how times have changed, gear shifts on the neck, the 'ol real rubber at the pedals, she weighs a ton after lifting the Felt
Anyway hope you enjoy.

Oh yeah, that blue thing is kinda okay as well I 'spoze Nice ride man.
As a side note, isn't there Australia Standards to dictate safety reflectors and things on bikes? Mine only has a front one, and the pretty Felt there doesn't have any, where as my few year old Boulder has front, back and wheels adorned.

At least people generally know what a Scott is. I have found that most people (including most, but not all, bike shop staff) have never even heard of my Portugese made Masil. In fact I have even had one bike shop that I was talking to on the phone assume that I did not even know what brand my bike was and try to tell me that I must be talking about a Masi!moosterbounce wrote:Personally, I like being a little unique...better than having a Giant like every man and his wife and kids and friends etc (oh dear...I better watch my back now ).
Well enought of my hijack attempt - I just had to say something because I had been going to comment about "skippy" apparently owning one, but then saw that sogood had beaten me too it

nah mate all real I am not a wizard with pc's and don't plan to.gsxrboy wrote:You know, the more I look at it, the more the Felt looks photoshopped into the piccy, or, the old metal has just been colour shifted and had bits removed from it. I call fake
Due to the blurriness taken with the mobile the Felt pic I brightened it as it looked real bad. So you picked wrong as the 'ol girl wasn't touched at all

Not anymoremoosterbounce wrote: I myself almost bought one...until I fell in love with a Scott. Now I'm the only Scott owner on this board!! They too make good bikes too...but just not very common.
I also fell in love with Scott (s10 Speedster), I was tossing up between a Cannondale and a Scott and after riding the Scott it instantly felt right. Although the dale (Six13 3) was a superior bike in some respects.
With the money I saved a got some decent wheels and shaved off 400grams...also changed the saddle, Scott saddles are terribly uncomfortable and heavy.

For me, it was a great place to start.
I got the bike for 2k even, then watched ebay for dura ace shifters($207), Front Deraileur($40) and calipers($105). Changed the seat to an old concor I had laying around.
New set of wheels is on the cards. During thte Tour de Sunshine coast, the spokes on the rear came loose and the tire rubbed on the chain stay when pushing hard up hill.
Once I tightened them back up it solved, but I know for sure that there is a carbon heart under that blue paint.
