Is it over..?

Looks like Vino's wingman might be in hot water, Kash testing positive in an out of competition drug test.
Kash

And this is an interesting development, but im guessing he will just repeat his denial of any involvement.

Astana and Kazakhstan riders are gone.

As for Contador. He will either deny again, which would fuel more speculations, or he will come out of the closet and admit past doping practices and vouch for his cleanliness in the recent past. He needs to shut the rumours.

Contador has just had his entry to a German race refused because his name keeps appearing in the Operation Puerto reports. However, that operation cleared him. I suspect he's going to say something about that or what he's going to say comes out of that.

It may just be the security of taking a T-Mobile offer while its available. T-Mobile just recommitted to the sport after looking like pulling out following the Sinkewitz debacle, but Discovery Channel IS pulling out at the end of the year and USPS/DC are still looking for a title sponsor as far as the general public are aware. Just a thought, but i would prefer knowing i had a job than sitting in limbo...

Has Contador held his press 'conferance' yet? How can it be a 'conferance' when he's not taking questions?

Contador's press conference seems to be a pretty standard "I've never done anything, why are you picking on me" statement, so I hope that it holds up.
Let's hope that the 'winnowing' process cointinues and that none of our riders turn out to be 'chaff'.
Litespeed Classic - 3Al/2.5V titanium tube set, Record 9-speed groupset, Open Corsa Evo CX
Alchemy Diablo - Columbus Zonal tubing, Ultegra 9-speed groupset, UltraGatorskins
Gitane Rocks T1 - U6 tubing, Deore/XT groupset, CrossMarks

Yes, chalk one up for Dean 8) in saying that though, sad to see them leave the sport. Its interesting that they say they chose to pull out of the sport and it wasnt the lack of a title sponsor that led them to that decision. Sounds about right because they still have a reasonable amount of season left to find a new one if they really wanted to continue the search.

Well, that wasn't worth all the fuss and bother was it. Maybe he intended to do something different and got talked out of it by wiser heads.
