Anyone like to host an article?

Postby europa » Wed Aug 08, 2007 10:51 am

MichaelB has come across a great article on Les Einsiedel's 1926 track bike. He's scanned it and it's now in four pdf files of about 700k each. To make them available to everyone, they need to be hosted on the web. Can anyone here offer some space?

Here's the bike

Yep, I can do it. Send the files to my email address and I'll pop them onto my server tonight.

I sent Richard the links to post up although he hasn't acted on them yet. I have concerns about the copyright breach by posting these pages from the magazine and expressed them to Richard. Since they are on my server, I'd be the one in the !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !! .....

How about if anyone wants to see the article, they drop me a PM and I'll send the links?

Cheers,
Graeme

Fair enough.

Can't we get around that by stating where they are from, and since it is a non-profit thing, doesn't that get around it ?

If not, I can understand. Pity, as it was a great article

Oops, I just found Graeme's email in my anti-spam folder  Ooo, and from the email above it, I can order a Russian Bride

I'll put the question to Christopher. I personally don't think it's an issue but it's his forum so I'll let him have the final say.

Good to see your filter is keeping out the crud then! Most would say the spam folder is where my emails should be sent by default ..... ;)

My understanding of the copyright law is that I'll be the one in the !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !! because it's hosted on my server.

Cheers,
