I should think so too, what is the world coming to when bikes aren't displayed in front of the garage door!

Nice bike though.

BTW Jacob where's your front brakes?

Woah it's almost like i've copied yours! I swear I've never seen yours before :D
No front brake cause I'm waiting for a black 105 left shifter to come up on ebay, then throw on an FD.
To be honest I haven't notice that much flex in the frame at 80kg, seems stiff and supple enough my 60km daily commute.
I got the frame off ebay, I'd like to know what name brand style it is rebadged as in LBS's.
She weighs in at about 7.5kg naked.

Spent the afternoon fitting a few new items, so figured a photo was called for. Think I need to change the bar tape now.

Their a very nice wheel, the previous owner of the bike fitted them though (along with the atrocious bar tape) so comparisons with other wheels on the same frame I can't help you much with.

@mactype - Nice looking ride - do you have a dodgy back or lack flexibility? If not then level out the bars, put a 73 deg stem on and cut the steerer tube down (once you are happy with it). +1 on getting rid of the bartape. Some nice black cinelli would do.

What model Fulcrums are they? Can't quite make out the number. I've got the 5's and love them to bits :D

About time my new ones got a look in...
The Commuter was
Image
And now is
Image

Changes from the box are,
1 The mixed up lowish end S2200/Sora/Deore 3x8 drivetrain replaced by full 2007 Tiagra 3x9.
2 Too big and loose 700x35c Conti CountryRides replaced by 700x28c Gatorskins.
3 Overpadded Kona OEM saddle replaced by a Brera leather unit.
4 Oddly shaped Kona branded drops with their huge backsweep replaced by FSA Omega compact bar.
5 Zefal mudguards fitted.
6 Reflectors gone, lights fitted and reflex tape applied to wheels.
7 Rearview mirror fitted.
8 Crappy OEM plastic feeling bartape replaced by something much better.
9 I left the bell on

I reckon the next job will be to flip or drop the stem, I'm still a little upright. We'll see after a few hundred more kms under the bum.

And now the rocket...
2009 Cannondale Six6 with the brakes upgraded to 105.
Image
No changes to date except the loss of reflectors and reflex tape added to the wheels.
The bartape will go as soon as I find something better, the saddle is on probation. I'm thinking of lighter wheels sooner rather than later too...

About freakin time too

Looks the grouse.
How does it handle the bumps, with the ally frame, Cro Mo fork, thinner tyre combo?
The Bowery used to be a little harsh/chattery at times with a similar combo.

Thanks Dave.

I'm noticing the bumps a bit more with the skinny tyres but not enough to want to go back to the fatties, just about lost the rear into a lowside on the first hard run with them, it's amazing how bloody quick you can get a foot out when yer rear wheel steps out. Also showing a liking for understeer if you cop a bump mid corner, but as long as you know about it a quick twitch brings it back.

Money well spent. Just wish I'da known Wiggle was gonna have a big sale after I pulled the trigger, about $150 cheaper landed than the best a local shop could do.

Cheers
