Bib Short ot Short?
Postby Zujan » Sun Aug 19, 2007 7:17 pm
I’m looking for new bicycling short or bib short? As I never used bib shorts before I want to know what do you prefer in between those two and why?
I’m looking for Descente Optima either bibs or shorts? Anyone having one of those?Any other recommendations?

For many, the elastic of the shorts digs in, so for them the best option is bib-shorts.
I have a large upper body and a slim waist, so the bib's are too small where the elastic of the shorts doesn't dig in.

When your teenage daughter has her friends over there is nothing funnier than walking into the lounge room wearing nothing but bibknicks! The "Borat" look embarrasses the hell out of the kids!
Revenge is sooooooooo sweet Hehehe

Yes, I concur, Netti shorts are crap. Mine aren't even 20 rides old and they are starting to stretch out and become loose.Wanta-bike wrote:i'd have to agree with the genereal concensus here: bibs all the way! had a pair of netti shorts - they were utter crap! got me bib style shorts made by santini - BLOODY AWESOME! so much more comfy and keeps ur lower back a bit more warmer too!
go out and buy the bibs!
The Pearl Izumi shorts I have though are great. Twice the price of the Netti's (bought them cheap overseas) but waaay nicer and tougher.
