Sorry to hear of your loss, that would have been a horrible experience.
If you don't mind me asking, have you spoken to the Indooroopilly police ?
Did they break the window of the car to get into it ?
And was the car parked in a conspicuous place ?
I was out somewhere in Bris during the week and in one street i did notice 2 parked cars that had drivers windows smashed, so perhaps there is a bit of this going on.
Hope you get over this setback,
Regards, Steve

Thanks Elantra
Yeah I walked straight to the police station (after phoning 000). There was no broken glass in the car park, there was actually another car parked where I did. One thing I'm glad I did was taking down the serial numbers of my frame and wheels and would suggest everyone do the same.

Just letting you all know I received a call from the police last night and they have my bike, shoes and helmet. Apparently a lady tried to sell it 1hr after it was stolen across town. Happy days Thanks for everyone's suggestions and support

I'm sorry - this requires some clarification.kHz wrote:Apparently a lady tried to sell it ..........
You mum is a lady (and my mum is too).
Your wife/girlfriend/sister is also presumably a lady.
The festy skank-bucket who stole, and then tried to sell your stolen bicycle for drugs/smokes/VB tallies is not.
Let's just get that straight
I say we string her up to the nearest light pole with used bicycle tubes and throw used wet cycling socks at her..
What is it with cycling? 30+ kmh and lycra???!!!

Glad you got your bike back, considering building a safe in my shed to house mine.
you forgot to mention covering her face in 300km+ unwashed knicks (post fried onion and beans breakfast ride)uncle arthur wrote:I'm sorry - this requires some clarification.kHz wrote:Apparently a lady tried to sell it ..........

Result! Glad you got your bike & gear back
Even inside a locked vehicle, it's kind of unwise to leave a quality bike visible to (oxygen) thieves. Doesnt take long at all for those F#%kers to break in.
