Looking for people to go riding with on regular basis

Hi there..have had my roadie for 3 months now - furtherest I've ridden is from Launceston to Perth and back... I am looking for any riders who are keen to start a social cycling group in Launceston. Meet up on a regular basis type thing - similar to the Vets however I am too young to join - hence why I am seeking others out there who might not be the best rider but still love it as much as the masters.

Hopefully there is a need for something like this - as I have found the LCCC too competitive for my liking...

Welcome and thats really good if your keen to ride. On Sundays there is a regular ride at 8am from Youngtown IGA, there is between 40-50 riders on every Sunday all different ages and riding abilities. I ride with them when I am in Launceston. They won't leave you behind. A bunch might go off the front up the hills but the bunch will re join at the top. Thats the best I can do from Hobart. Good luck I think you will find the bunch easy enough to ride with.

If your in Hobart then you could join Ken Self ride on Sat avo or Monday nights.

Hi,
Dads army would be the ideal bunch for what you describe.As previously stated they ride on sunday morning and unless things have changed in the last year, they also ride sat morn,tuesday and thursday nights.
For more info you may want to drop in to Geards cycles in Wellington st and speak to the new owner-Ian Lee,he rides with the Dads Army bunch regularly.
