Improvement for cyclists on Arthur Highway

Improvement for cyclists on Arthur Highway

Postby master6 » Sat Jan 02, 2010 2:03 pm

Work has just been completed on a sealed apron beside the Arthur Highway on a stretch from Sorell to Forcett Rivulet (near the Lewisham turnoff). This is a busy section of highway, carrying traffic to Dodges Ferry and Carlton, and has been the most dangerous cycling location between Hobart and Port Arthur.
This new link now makes it possible to ride from Hobart to Forcett with significant protection from motor vehicles.
