Somehow I doubt it! They are now a collectors' item, since Bacchetta won't be making any more. They had a special run of tubing made years ago (they use a tear-drop cross-section shaped tube) and that has now run out. Getting more tubing done is prohibitively expensive with the current very high price of Ti.

Anything less than US$3000 is a bargain for the bike.

You can get a carbon fibre versionthough!

Blimey, those are collector's items indeed, and by all accounts fantastic bikes. I almost wish I hadn't seen that, I might fail to resist doing something silly... Fortunately my upcoming holidays will probably save me front splashing out silly money on another bike, I need to save my pennies for my travels.

'Bents tend to be difficult to get used to and you need to spin at high cadence to prevent your knees blowing out. My guess is the owner is a little on the heavy side and needed the lower gearing to cope with hills. (He swapped out the standard 11-32 cassette for a 12-27, so needs the tiny small chain ring to compensate.)

I set a snipe on it because I knew I'd be away when the auction finished. I didn't really want to win it*, but I would hate to think I missed out on the bargain of the century if it ended up selling for less than $1000. My snipe of $1200 was obviously rejected. The buyer got a good deal - I would have paid AUD$3200 in April had it been for sale then.
