Be careful with that one. Wiggle definitely charges in AUD but others like c r c and Ribble give an AUD estimate on their site but still charge in GBP. It will depend on the conversion rate and fees of your CC or paypal as to how close the estimate is to what you pay, it is normally around 2% more than the estimate.

On the topic of good/bad experiences I've had nothing but good experiences with Wiggle, Ribble, c r c, Torpedo7 and Bike Tires Direct. Most have just been straight forward orders with only two exceptions where service was needed.

The first was a faulty tyre from biketiresdirect that had some splitting on the sidewalls within a km of riding. I sent them photos of the splitting and they happily sent a new tyre to replace it, no need to send the faulty tyre back. The replacement was still going along nicely when my wife decided to upgrade from slicks on her MTB to a road bike.

The other time was when I purchased a couple of cycle computers from c r c. Installed one and it went ok on some short rides but on my first ride of over 20km it had freezing issues. I packed it back up and sent it back with the other identical computer I hadn't yet installed on my wife's bike along with their return form and about a week later had the refund back in my account.

YAY
My c r c order is waiting for me at home. I was wondering if I had ordered 3 rims today from EvansCycles as I had another rim turn up at work today, sure enough I had and no extra shipping for it

Also my ribble correction is waiting for me at home, I wonder if it is 27 tubes or 30 tubes waiting :)

Now come on SJS Cycles, I want my spokes

Within the stuff I collected from your house yesterday, the black keo cleat that c r c give me is the non grip one but still charged me the grip one's price. :?

But anyway they still can be used and in good condition so I do not borther to return them. Mentally tell myself they are good as they are lighter by 2g in total
A good road bike is like an art work so as a good fountain pen. Gears like the the nib may need replacement over time, however a good frame was made to last ages.

Who is building the wheels for you? I am trying to build my wheels first time and then taking them to a LBS if I need to.

Dunno. I don't have hubs, spokes, nipples or rim tape yet so I won't have to decide for a while

EDIT: I have not even decided if I am building these wheels for the Repco or the Masi. If they are for the Repco they will be worth more than the bike

that wasn't my experience. i'm pretty sure c r c charged the precise amount as quoted on their website in AUD. i did however get slapped with a foreign currency conversion fee by my bank.

I got one 2 weeks ago saying it had been dispatched, but due to the shipping method, no tracking is available.
Wiggle also said for me to contact my local PO and ask them if it's arrived, but with no order # or tracking #, I don't know exactly what to say to them?

I've ordered a few things on line and normally go straight to Wiggle. This time around, they didn't have what I wanted, so gave Evans Cycles a go for the first time.

Ordered very late last Wednesday night, item delivered to sydney metro today (the following thursday). Very good considering this time of year, and UK weather etc.

Will definately use them again if I have to (their prices seemed marginally higher than Wiggle). Oh, and they have a lower limit for free delivery to Australia (50 pounds I think) than Wiggle (100 pounds).

Overall - extemely happy.

Dont worry too much, I finally had my stuff delivered to my door this afternoon at 3PM from Aus post and just last sunday it had been 2 weeks since I placed the order with wiggle. So a total of 17 days wait, although Im not too annoyed because I know most of the time it will only be around 1 weeks wait and it seems it's a bad time of the year for Aus post.

Thanks for the heads-up. Good to know about other retailers.

OK, I paid with paypal and it definately showed the transaction in GBP, never used CC with them to compare.

I've ordered from SJS a few times, I have found their shipping to be a bit slow, typically two weeks or so from the date of order - however I've never had any problems with it and they specialise in touring & commuting stuff which none of the others have. Wiggle & PBK though has been fantastic, very fast and I've never had any issues.

Same here. Ordered a jersey from torpedo7, and its been 9 days and nothing's come in yet. What more surprising is that my order from Wiggle came through in just 4 days!
