Sign on Belconnen Way - Cycle Way Closed 27/01/10

There has been a sign on Belconnen Way for the last week or so stating the above. I rode that cycle way again this morning, and it was situation normal. Does anybody know what the deal is?

Only Barry Drive is closed, but they put the stupid sign before the road splits into Barry Drive/Fairfax street. Confusing as all hell!

Yes it is confusing. I wasn't sure which path/road it referred to.

I rode that way again this morning, and they have removed all ambiguity from the signage (I wonder if they realised how confusing that signage was). It now says "cyclists f#$% off and take Dryandra St." They have the big plastic barriers blocking off the cycle way and the bus lane all the way up and over the hill on Barry Dr.
