In Perth, we don't really have hills. Well, not like those anyway.

Thanks Ken. Why don't they link it directly from the ride's page?

I'd rather do the ACE. Don't like the idea of a downhill start from Falls and even less an uphill finish up back of Falls

$150 for the full event or you can do half the ride for $120 plus another $30 for the shuttle makes... $150!

Perth's most challenging ride is the 5 dams challenge... http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/BW ... -Challengecpical wrote:The profile is not that scary really.
Load the map and click on "Elevation Profile" under "Show". It's a bit a joke really. Maxing out at about 350m. Total climbing is only 1872m. I wonder how much climbing there is in 3 peaks for comparison.

Hotham and Dinner Plain was about 2400m for a round trip. Then add Falls and Tawonga Gap

Yes, that'll be very tough, doing 10-15% for the first 2kms, after 200kms in your legs including climbing Hotham ! I can assure you it was damned hard on the ACE.KenGS wrote:Don't like the idea of a downhill start from Falls and even less an uphill finish up back of Falls

Were you the person I saw with a big saddle bag and a handlebar bag, paused on the side of the road having a snack, 2 - 3 km before the top of Hotham?il padrone wrote: I can assure you it was damned hard on the ACE.
