Where's the profile on BV?! Irritating! Is it not full yet? A bit expensive the registration, my European standard coming out here. Edit: found the profile. Not going, done the AAC.

Thanks Ken. Why don't they link it directly from the ride's page?

Its linked from the course details page. Prolly don't want to scare people off I'd rather do the ACE. Don't like the idea of a downhill start from Falls and even less an uphill finish up back of Falls

Is that indicativeof your opinion of the mag or the profile $150 for the full event or you can do half the ride for $120 plus another $30 for the shuttle makes... $150! Pricingedited for a laugh

Perth's most challenging ride is the 5 dams challenge... http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/BW ... -Challenge Load the map and click on "Elevation Profile" under "Show". It's a bit a joke really. Maxing out at about 350m. Total climbing is only 1872m. I wonder how much climbing there is in 3 peaks for comparison.

I'd estimate about 4500m. Hotham and Dinner Plain was about 2400m for a round trip. Then add Falls and Tawonga Gap

Yes, that'll be very tough, doing 10-15% for the first 2kms, after 200kms in your legs including climbing Hotham ! I can assure you it was damned hard on the ACE.
Riding bikes in traffic - what seems dangerous is usually safe; what seems safe is often more dangerous.

Were you the person I saw with a big saddle bag and a handlebar bag, paused on the side of the road having a snack, 2 - 3 km before the top of Hotham?
Nobody younger than 27 has experienced a month with temperatures lower than the 20th century global monthly average.
