Easter Long weekend

Easter Long weekend

Postby RobRollin » Thu Feb 25, 2010 8:47 am

On Good Friday I am planning on riding to Launceston in the morning, (215km) double century, the aim is under 8 hours.

Last year I rode to Campbelltown on the Friday, traffic was fine and weather still good before the much colder months.

It’s not a race but a long ride, the aim is under 8 hours. Stop at Campbelltown to refuel and get going again.

After Pontville, then Constitution, Spring and St Peters Pass it’s basically flat until Launceston. The first 70kms are the hardest physically. Then it becomes a mental challenge, especially if you’re a lone rider.

It would be great to have a small group together, it’s a big ride, a challenge to complete.

Anyone keen for the challenge? :D
