daacha, i know i could try and do it myself but really have neither the time nor the inclination.
If i could find some retired vet who would be happy to do it as a sideline and earn a little extra cash that would be great.
thanks for the feedback,
Fabian

Any bike shop will do it for you, usually only sets you back $5-$10 as well (plus any parts you need eg tubes).
I usually do it my self, it's easy once you have the tools, but I get where your coming from, I've been known to pay someone else to do it.

Thanks Cinder my local LBS has done it for me before but he's a little reluctant because i buy my tyres on line $80 is better than $150 if you know what i mean...
There used to be an old retired vet in Mulgrave that would do it but he no longer does.
There must be someone out there?
between myself and my friends we would get them started with at least 10-15 tyres.

Give Cecil Walker Cycles a call - (03) 9600 9000. We used to get 'tubs' repaired by someone - not sure if it may be that retired guy or not.....

That was Jack McGowan. Unfortunately he has passed away. A true legend.Fabby wrote:Thanks Cinder my local LBS has done it for me before but he's a little reluctant because i buy my tyres on line $80 is better than $150 if you know what i mean...

I ride several bicycles, but not at once.

It's strange that no one here does this still.
